My first video Future Friday gives you some food for thought on the impact technology may have on future affirmative action requirements.
After recording this video I read a short article by Thomas Frey who pointed out further effects of driverless cars. He felt that driverless cars would also result in:
- Fewer parking lots, thus fewer parking attendants
- Fewer gas stations, thus fewer gas station employees
- Fewer traffic cops
- Fewer traffic courts, thus fewer employees
- and finally because there will be fewer accidents you will need fewer emergency personnel such as EMTs, doctors and nurses.
This will not be an insignificant impact of technology that we will have to adapt to.
